Projected Growth of Agentic AI in Work Decisions by Gartner.
In my previous posts, From Apps to Agentic Workflows and How to Design, Build, and Ship Agentic Workflows, I talked about how business workflows have evolved—from spreadsheets to SaaS and now to AI-powered agents.
I explored how these agents could transform industries, the tools that make them possible, and the challenges businesses face in adopting them. But one question kept coming back to me:
What does it take to build a killer enterprise AI application?
That question led me to Axentic.
Axentic is built on everything I’ve learned in IT, security, privacy, and compliance. It’s a solution to the repetitive, frustrating tasks I’ve faced firsthand. Today, I’m excited to share Axentic’s story, the problems we’re solving, and how we’re building a team to make it happen.
By the end of this post, you’ll know why I started Axentic, the team I am looking to build, and how we onboard new hires—even if they’ve never worked with AI agents before.
1. Axentic: Let AI Agents Do the Busywork So You Can Focus on What Matters
It started with firsthand frustration.
In my years working as an IT engineer and later in security, privacy, and compliance engineering, I saw the same problems over and over:
- Endless tickets for password resets and account provisioning or deprovisioning .
- Teams overwhelmed by onboarding and offboarding workflows that should have been seamless.
- Compliance teams manually collecting evidence for audits, sometimes compiling hundreds of pages system by system.
- Security teams buried under false positives from alert systems, struggling to catch real threats in the noise.
The most talented people I knew—smart, creative problem-solvers—were being held back by repetitive, exhausting work. Tasks that were not just time-consuming but error-prone and frustrating.
I realized something: the workday is broken, and fixing it requires a new way of thinking.
The Problem
Today, businesses rely on people to manage workflows that machines could handle. IT teams spend hours resetting passwords. Security teams chase down alerts that lead nowhere. Compliance teams scramble to prepare for audits.
This does not just slow companies down. It stops people from doing the work that matters.
It’s not a people problem. It’s a workflow problem.
Our Vision
At Axentic, we are building AI agents that take the busywork away so people can focus on the work only they can do. Innovating, strategizing, and creating.
Imagine a future where:
- Password resets happen instantly.
- New hires are provisioned access automatically, and former employees are deprovisioned securely.
- Compliance checks happen in real time, flagging issues before audits happen.
- Security teams get actionable alerts, not noise, and threats are contained immediately.
The Solution
Axentic is building agentic workflows, a new generation of AI agents that do not just assist. They act.
We are starting with the problems I have seen firsthand:
- Automating IT ticket resolution for account provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management
- Streamlining security workflows, from alert triage to threat containment
- Handling compliance evidence collection and audit preparation in minutes instead of months
Our agents integrate seamlessly into your systems. They work alongside your teams, not replace them. And this is just the beginning. Our long-term vision is to build the Agentic Workflow OS, a customizable platform for enterprises to deploy agents across any industry.
How We Work
At Axentic, we build with intention. The details matter, from the code to the experience. Our agents are designed to work reliably, seamlessly, and with trust.
And we’re obsessed with outcomes. We don’t just drop tools in your lap. We partner with you, deeply understanding your business goals and ensuring our agents deliver measurable results:
- Time saved.
- Errors reduced.
- Focus restored.
Why It Matters
I have been in the shoes of IT engineers, security teams, and compliance officers. I know how draining the workday can feel when tasks pile up, systems don’t talk to each other, and workflows break down.
Axentic was born to fix this.
We’re here to give people their time back. To empower teams to focus on the problems that drive businesses forward. Because when you remove the busywork, everything changes—teams are sharper, systems are safer, and businesses thrive.
Our Promise
Axentic is here to elevate your teams. Let AI agents handle the repetitive work so your people can focus on the work only humans can do.
Because technology should serve people, not replace them.
2. Axentic Roles: Who We Are Hiring to Build This Vision
The truth is, SaaS tools are everywhere, but they still leave us with too much to do. For every SaaS company, there’s a workflow agent that could be built to do part of the work. This is a massive opportunity: businesses spend billions annually on SaaS, but they’re still stuck with manual workflows.
We’re here to change that.
If you’re excited to help build something meaningful, here’s what we’re looking for:
Role 1: New Grad Intern – Software Engineer or Product Manager
Location: Remote, Africa
Type: Paid
What You Will Do
As a New Grad Intern, you’ll be part of building these agents from the ground up. No experience in AI? That is okay—we’ll teach you. Here’s what your work might look like:
- Write code in Python or TypeScript to integrate our agents with tools like Slack and enterprise systems.
- Work with LangChain, CrewAI, or similar tools to build simple agent workflows.
- Build a Slack bot that automates account provisioning or test workflows for compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with me and the product designer to turn workflows into solutions customers will love.
You’ll ship real work, learn fast, and see the impact of what you build.
Role 2: Senior Engineer – AI Agent Orchestration
Location: Remote, Africa
Type: Full-Time
What You Will Do
As our Senior Engineer, you will design and build AI agents that work seamlessly and scale effortlessly. You will:
- Build AI workflows using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Python, TypeScript (React is a bonus), and more.
- Integrate agents with real systems using SDKs and APIs,—think Slack bots that automate IT tickets, or configuring a workflow that flags security alerts in real time.
- Work with large language models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) to power agent decisions.
- Mentor the New Grad Intern and collaborate with the full-stack software engineer and product designer.
You’ll help design workflows that solve customer problems from end to end.
3. My Role as Founder
At Axentic, I wear many hats—not because I have to, but because I believe in the work.
I am part Product Builder, part Generalist Engineer, and part Business Developer. My role isn’t to sit in meetings or hand down tasks. Instead, I get directly involved, building alongside the team to create something we’re proud of.
Here’s what I do and where you’ll see me:
1. Building the Product
I work directly with our engineers and product designer to design and ship AI agents that solve real problems. These are problems I’ve experienced firsthand in IT, privacy, security, and compliance.
- I help define the product roadmap based on real customer pain points.
- When necessary, I contribute to the codebase, using TypeScript, React, and Python to prototype ideas and ensure we deliver reliable and maintainable systems.
- I guide how we integrate tools like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, and AgentForce to make our agents smarter and workflows more seamless.
Instead of handing over feature requests, I collaborate on designs, debug alongside the team, and celebrate every milestone we achieve together.
2. Translating Between Customers and Code
I act as the bridge between our customers’ needs and our product decisions.
- I assess customer workflows by identifying what slows them down and uncovering tasks that consume unnecessary time and resources.
- I translate these insights into actionable product requirements that engineers and PMs can easily work from.
- I create and deliver demos that simplify complex logic into practical, easy-to-understand solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
This ensures clarity for everyone on the team. You will always understand what we are building and why it matters.
3. Driving Go-To-Market
Our goal isn’t just to build great products—it’s to get them into the hands of the people who need them most.
- I actively identify potential customers, including startups that need IT automation and enterprises struggling with compliance workflows. (mostly targeting Mid-market and SMBs in the U.S and Africa).
- I engage with prospects to uncover their problems, pitch our solutions, and close deals.
- I collaborate with the team to create materials that inspire and inform, such as:
i. Technical demos that highlight real-world impact
ii. Messaging and case studies that showcase measurable ROI.
iii. Sales content, including presentations, playbooks, and proposals tailored to customer needs.
Through these efforts, I ensure that our launches are smooth, our sales processes are efficient, and our customers are genuinely delighted.
4. Building Our Culture
At Axentic, culture matters just as much as the product we build. I am committed to creating an environment where excellence, customer focus, and teamwork thrive.
- We prioritize excellence in execution: From the user experience to the system architecture, we take the time to get it right.
- We’re customer-obsessed: Every agent we build starts with solving a real problem for a real person, and if issues arise, we act quickly to resolve them.
- We move with intensity but not recklessness. While we aim to ship quickly, we ensure every release is secure, maintainable, and aligned with our long-term vision.
Joining Axentic means you’ll play a key role in shaping how we build, collaborate, and grow as a team.
Why Work With Me?
I started Axentic because I have lived through the challenges we are solving. I know how busywork can hold teams back, how disconnected systems create frustration, and how tools often fail to deliver on their promises.
Our mission is to build AI agents that act, not just assist**. This is a massive opportunity:
- SaaS tools generate over $200 billion anually.
- Every SaaS tool represents a potential workflow that can be automated with agentic AI.
- By 2028, at least 15% of work decisions will be autonomously powered by agentic AI, according to Gartner predictions.
We are starting small, focusing on one agent and one workflow at a time. However, our ultimate goal is to build the Agentic Workflow OS, a platform that allows enterprises to deploy agents reliably, seamlessly, and at scale.
If you are excited to solve real problems, create impactful tools, and help shape the future of workflows, I would love to work with you.
4. Technical Onboarding Playbook
When you join Axentic, we’ll guide you step by step:
- Learn AI Agent Basics: What they are, how they work, and the problems they solve.
- Build Your First Agent: Work on a real-world task, like automating password resets or compliance checks.
- Test and Deploy: Make sure your agents are reliable, and see them in action.
- Iterate and Improve: Learn how to make agents smarter, faster, and more effective over time.
Even if you’re new to AI agents, don’t worry. We’ll guide you every step of the way with hands-on examples, tools, and support to get you up to speed.
What’s Next?
If this sounds exciting, let’s talk. We’re building something big, and we need people who are ready to learn, build, and solve problems alongside us.
